About Me
I’m Cho Lok Hei (Tommy), a Hongkonger with a wide range of experiences and interests. I graduated from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) with a major in Sociology and a minor in Education.
Over the years, I’ve worked in various roles, including lecturer, teaching assistant, data analyst, sports coach, marketing specialist, and mystery shopper. I have also gained legal exposure as a mini-pupil at one of Hong Kong’s oldest chambers. I am currently pursuing a career in academia, where I hope to bring together my educational background, research interests, and passion for knowledge.
Beyond work, I care deeply about both physical and social well-being. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and camping, and I like to keep my mind active with Sudoku. Volunteering is also an important part of my life – I believe that supporting others not only makes a difference to them, but also helps me better understand the society we live in.

WeTogether Mentor
- Organizer: Teaching and Learning Enhancement and Research Group, HKU
- Role: Student Mentor
- Supported underprivileged students in English learning through a collaborative process
Rule of Law Education Project (ROLE)
- Organizer: Faculty of Law, HKU
- Role: Student Mentor
- Delivered legal seminars at schools and NGOs to promote a better understanding of the rule of law among younger students
Selected Emcee Experiences
Primary Healthcare Summit – LKS Faculty of Medicine, HKU (Nov 2024)
- Emceed a two-day event, the largest in HKUMed history, with ~1000 participants from Hong Kong and overseas.
- Refined and delivered the MC script, ensuring smooth transitions and engaging presentations.
Research Mixer Series in Primary Healthcare – LKS Faculty of Medicine, HKU (Jul 2024)
- Hosted a HKU internal event for Professoriate Staff from various faculties.
- Drafted and delivered MC scripts, facilitating effective interaction, discussion and engagement.
- Assisted in organizing the event and managing administrative duties.
