During my time in Thailand, I had the privilege of learning from Chris Martin, the esteemed head coach of the Malaysian National Swimming Team. This invaluable experience allowed me to connect with other coaches and observe the trainings of high-level swimmers in the region.

Learn To Swim

I firmly believe that the key to success for learn-to-swim students lies in overcoming their fear of water. Once they gain comfort and confidence, I guide them through each step, from kicking to breathing and crawling, and from freestyle to backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. My ultimate goal is to ensure students enjoy swimming and not merely transform them into “swimming machines.”

When teaching learn-to-swim students, I am a strong advocate for the power of edutainment – a blend of education and entertainment. This approach not only boosts students’ engagement but also fuels their interest in mastering a new sport. My swimming lessons deliver essential techniques while preserving a fun and enjoyable learning atmosphere.

Swimming Teams

I work with a local Band 1 secondary school, preparing their swimming team members for top-tier inter-school swimming competitions (Division One).

In my role as the swimming team’s coach, I set and implement customized training programs that focus on enhancing swimmers’ technique and mental strength using various methods. This approach ensures they consistently perform at their best during competitions and break personal records. Recognizing the importance of a well-rounded coaching experience, I also serve as a mentor and friend to my students, fostering camaraderie through meals and conversations outside the pool.

Extending my expertise beyond school teams, I work in a renowned local swimming club, coaching their teams as swimmers compete in Long Course and Short Course Swimming Championships.
